Senior Delivery Manager

As a Delivery Manager at Rome2Rio, you'll act as a delivery coach and coordination facilitator across our product pods (Platform, User Acquisition, Monetization). You'll help teams work smarter—not by adding layers, but by improving coordination, delivery rhythm, and focus. This isn't about managing people or enforcing rigid processes; it's about removing friction and making work flow smoothly.

Working within our lean, fast-moving organization, you'll support pods in delivering predictably while managing cross-pod dependencies and creating clarity without unnecessary bureaucracy. This is a high-impact individual contributor role where you'll directly influence delivery outcomes and help Rome2Rio scale intelligently as we grow our product and technical complexity.

What you'll do

• Support 2-3 pods initially, scaling to full pod coverage as the role evolves, helping them establish realistic commitments and delivery cadences
• Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and delivery ceremonies where valuable, coaching teams on healthy delivery practices
• Surface and manage dependencies between pods early in the planning cycle, ensuring smooth handoffs and coordination
• Remove blockers quickly through direct problem-solving or appropriate escalation, reducing time spent chasing status
• Establish delivery visibility through dashboards and self-serve tools to reduce coordination overhead and make work visible across teams
• Partner with Head of Consumer Products on delivery strategy and resource allocation, supporting quarterly planning cycles
• Coordinate complex feature releases that span multiple pods (e.g., search optimization touching Platform, User Acquisition, and Monetisation)
• Work with PMs and tech leads to make delivery more predictable and less reactive, implementing lightweight processes that improve flow
• Identify delivery patterns across pods and suggest company-wide improvements through post-mortems and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide delivery updates to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, managing expectations around delivery timelines
• Coordinate with business development on partner integration delivery schedules and support communication with external partners

• 5+ years of experience in delivery management or technical project management in agile software development environments
• Strong track record of improving delivery velocity and predictability in lean organizations (50-200 person teams preferred)
• Experience coordinating complex technical initiatives across multiple teams, with solid grasp of software development lifecycle
• Expert knowledge of agile methodologies with pragmatic application—knows how to apply principles without forcing rigid processes
• Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence without authority
• Strong problem-solving skills with bias toward action, comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
• Experience with delivery tools (Jira, Linear, Confluence, or similar) and ability to create delivery dashboards and reporting
• Strong facilitation skills for planning sessions, retrospectives, and problem-solving meetings
